Important disclaimer to skaters: ⚠️ EXPERIENCED CITY SKATERS ONLY! If you do not already have advanced proficiency with skating around the city, please instead join @bridge.city.skate recurring Tuesday Night Social Skate around the waterfront. WNS will be smooth and mellow this week and has a route that was designed with folks in mind who are working on breaking skills. 📍 Blumenauer Bridge (South side, street parking available) 🛑 6:30PM - Optional speed control clinic 🛼 7:30PM - Rollout The whole route is smooth and quad friendly. 13 miles might sound like a lot, but two thirds of the route is steady negative ish grade and it won’t be a difficult skate. Steep downhill inclines were avoided this time around to be welcoming to folks working up to more hill skills. Steepest part is the Blumenauer Bridge itself and it has a hand rail. There’s cool things to see on this route and I’m more stoked about it than usual. Bring lights! 🏢⚫️🌳🪦🌳🌝
