Arrive by ~10:30am, ride at 10:45
End location: Waterfront Park (Naito Fountain bike racks)
Ride length: 8-15 miles
Want to attend the protest downtown but don't have a ride? Or perhaps you do but are worried about parking and street closures? A group bike ride is a fun and free way to get downtown from St Johns, get to know your neighbors, and enjoy the lovely fall colors. We'll take a low-stress route from the St Johns Plaza, through North and Northeast neighborhoods, then across the Steel Bridge lower deck to Waterfront Park. End point is the bike racks by Naito Fountain and the Portland Saturday Market (a great place to grab a quick snack!) Additional Info: - Route is about 9.5 miles one-way on mostly residential streets, with N Willamette being the busiest. We'll use signaled crossings for major intersections. - We'll take a relaxed pace and expect to arrive in about 60-75 minutes, with a couple of water breaks along the way. - Feel free to bring signs, banners, etc. I have cargo space if you need help carrying anything. - This ride is not a loop, but please mention if you don't feel comfortable riding back alone and we'll try to arrange for a buddy to return with you. See you there!
