    Here in Portland, we don’t bow to kings—we cork for democracy. Join with fellow Corkers Opposing Ridiculous Kings to help hold space for thousands of democracy’s defenders as they march, roll, and rally downtown. We’re looking for all experienced corkers and calm heads to help ensure a safe, respectful, non-violent procession across bridges and through city streets. Corkers are expected to practice de-escalation to keep marchers safe and maintain a buffer between them and drivers as they reroute around the march. Bring your vest, your whistle, and a walkie talkie if you have one—no crowns required. Meeting locations are subject to change depending on crowd size. Look for experienced corkers in hi-viz vests. The revolution will not be motorized, but E-bikes are welcome! When Portland rolls out for justice, we ride at the front. Please arrive early to coordinate ahead of time.
