The World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims is an annual, international event to remember those killed and seriously injured in crashes and to demand action for safer streets. Honoring all who have lost their lives or have been directly impacted by roadway crashes. This global, UN-Sponsored, Day of Remembrance acknowledges the widespread suffering inflicted on the victims’ families and communities. The World Day of Remembrance offers an opportunity to demonstrate the enormous scale and impact of road violence and call for coordinated action to stop the needless violence. The Portland edition of WDoR is co-sponsored by Families for Safe Streets, Bikeloud PDX, Oregon Walks, The Street Trust, 1000 Friends of Oregon, and PBOT.
