Ride to the Winter Crow roost. Very family friendly ride. This is a magical event and phenomenon that happens every winter. Each year, massive flocks of Crows head downtown to the warmth and safety. The numbers are outrageous and are estimated to be 40-70,000 birds. On the ride itself, we try and follow the path of some flocks of Crows as they head to the waterfront. We then wait to watch insanely large flocks arrive one after the other…then wait for them all to suddenly go quiet and sleep. We often see Juvenile birds doing stunts in silhouette with the moon and clouds aglow with orange. Music will be vintage French Pop Music… Costumes encouraged…. Store stop may or may not happen because timing of this ride is crucial and fluid. This is the 6th year of these rides. We usually do at least 2 per year. Sometimes we get to the waterfront little early and have to scout out where they’re gathering and change position….so please dress warmly. Do you want to share Crow facts? You can at the waterfront or recount your experiences. As with all our rides we practice consent and non-violence. If you’re banned from posting rides and have been asked not too attend other rides please don’t attend these either.
