Not that kind of porn. The /r/bikeporn kind — beautiful bikes, weird bikes, rare bikes, lovingly built bikes, bikes with stories. The ones that make you slow down at a coffee shop rack and go "oh damn, what is that." This is a casual ~15-mile ride for people who own gorgeous and unusual machines, and for people who just love to look at them. Bring out your vintage Colnago. Your hand-built randonneur. Your team-issue road bike with the matching kit. Your tricked-out enduro rig. Your custom-painted fixie. Your friend's grandfather's '70s touring bike that's been in the garage for 40 years. If it's sitting on your local bike shop floor right now, it's probably not bike porn. If you had to wait six months for the frame, talk to three different builders, or stalk eBay for two years to find it — that's bike porn. You don't need to bring a fancy bike to come. Admirers welcome. Show up on whatever you've got and gawk at the rest. There will be a Concours d'Elegance. Midway through the ride, we'll park up, walk the line, and crown the most beautiful bike in attendance. Bring your A-game. Polish your chain. Wax that top tube. Prizes TBD but the glory is forever. We'll roll at a social pace so people can ride alongside each other, talk shop, and actually look at each other's bikes. Bring lights and snacks.
