“BE THE FREAK YOU WANNA SEE...GRAB YOUR F*CKING CHAIN AND DRAG YOU THROUGH THE BIKE LANE WHILE EVERYBODY’S LIKE (NOOOOOOO!)” We are thrilled to present the Death Grips ride. I want to make this a memorable experience for you guys and go buck wild (within reason) for the end of summer. We really only thought of this so we could test run the CycleSync app and since I’m stoked/shocked by the positive reception we’ve received, so I am now putting my heart and soul into this. Brad has been working very hard to create an app that can connect multiple speakers without lagging or disconnecting when we get separated. The app is called CycleSync and will be available for download soon. Download it! It doesn’t matter what speaker you have, you just need an Android for the time being (iOS coming soon). Contact Brad by email or contact him @cyclesync on Instagram if you want to know more. The app is in beta mode but it will be fully functional before the ride! Details on details: ● Meet at 7:00, ride at 7:30 PM. Meet in the circle at Ladd’s. Route will be around 15 miles with 2 stops (both should have bathrooms). Party pace; my speedometer said I was cruising at 9-11mph through most of the route, so I’m aiming for an average of 9mph. no drop ride. ● I think The Mercury says we ride at 8pm but I want to ride in the late sunlight; may wait a bit to start in case people didn’t get the memo. ● Meandering about southeast Portland; stop at Creston Park around 8:30, store stop at New Sneezins seven circles around 9:30. if you don’t want to do the whole route please join us at one of our stops. I highly recommend staying for the entire ride for the vibes, but it’s a long one so I wanted to give y’all some flexibility. We’ll stop for like 20 minutes or so at Creston to listen to the I.LY.S, another project by the DG members that is chiller so we can socialize or whatever. Maybe we will have spoke cards? I guess we’ll both find out. No plans for the end spot but if you want to do a DJ set we’d totally accommodate you! reach out. ● If you have any song requests please message me on Instagram. Not promising I’ll include them but I can try, or at least let you down easy. ● CORKERS WANTED. There are a few busy streets to cross and depending on the turnout I need some folks to dedicate their time and help us out. Message me on instagram. TRAILERS: we may have a gravel portion; I may change my mind. I will be rerouting you if so; this ride is for you and I wouldn’t do you like that. I will talk to you at the start and again at Creston Park to give instructions; it won't be difficult to manage. Watch this space. *If you have ride related questions, please contact Rosemary through instagram. If you have app related questions, contact Brad through email or @cyclesync on instagram.* THIS RIDE IS 21+. Though it is aggressive music, no aggressive behavior will be tolerated. don’t endanger or threaten others. Don’t smoke around children or animals. Be a good example, whatever that means to you. If Shift has banned you, that’s that on that. This is a queer friendly, antiracist, feminist space; if someone makes you uncomfortable, you are welcome to let me know; whether you need help or if you just need an ear to hear, I’m here. COVID policy? Absolutely do not come to the ride if you feel sick. Respectfully, please also refrain from wearing fragrances/colognes, your ride leader needs to breathe. In all seriousness, it would mean so much to me. please support your disabled friends <3 last, but not least: stay behind your ride leader.
