Wheels Down 10:30
Ride is a loop
End location: We will leave Rooster Rock by Sunset
Ride length: 15+ miles
It's been a long Summer, so why not a day at Rooster Rock State Park! Located in the Gorge, Rooster has an excellent disk golf course, bathroom facilities, many trails and full beach access. The eastern beach is the largest clothing optional beach in the pacific northwest with a very swimmable lagoon to the sandbar. We meet at Laurelhurst park, West end of the lake, wheels down at 10:30. There will be a grocery store stop there, dinner stop on return. The 17 mile ride east is mostly flat, but the last 8 miles is on the shoulder of 84. Be prepared for amazing views! Though fairly safe and Legal, there will be noise and debris. We will have a designated location to meet for the sunset return ride. If you are uncomfortable with nudity, stay on the western beach, up top or stay home. Bring beach supplies, snacks, money for food, water bottles, cable locks and anything else you think is important. Volunteers welcome with auto support, park fee applies for auto vehicles only. This will be a comfortable yet brisk pace, no drop, with a stop in Troutdale. Adult themed, no body shaming, everyone welcomed except creeps who will get booted. If you are banned on other rides, you are banned here.
