Ride length: 8-15 miles
Do you like sketching? Do you like biking? Has it been a while since you’ve sketched? Then this ride is for you! The goal of this ride is to mosey around SE Portland pausing briefly along our ride to sketch interesting houses, buildings, streetscapes, anything else you’d like! I have a list of places that are interesting to me based on their age, context, architectural detailing, or all around strangeness. We will stop and sketch for no more than 5 minutes at a time and then head on to the next spot. (8-12 stops depending on vibes) Who this is for: EVERYONE! You don’t have to be “good” at art or even a sketcher. (I sketch very rarely). The ride will be easy, with a few gentle climbs. What to bring: your sketchbook, sketching implements, and a desire to see parts of Portland that you might’ve missed. The plan: we gather at Ladd’s circle at 1, have a quick chat about our sketching experiences, roll out at 1:30, and meet back at 3:30-4 to share our sketches
