WeBike events are for women, trans, and non-binary folks. This includes but is not limited to trans men, trans women, cis women, agender, gender queer, gender fluid, gender nonconforming, and Two Spirit people. Read more about WeBike: thestreettrust.org/webike Fall is almost here, so come celebrate its arrival with WeBike! Before riding, we'll host a 30-minute mini-clinic all about night riding safety. We'll give you the lowdown on lights, reflective gear, and more. We'll also have night riding goodies (like reflective vests!) for folks to take home with them. Oh, and we can't forget the essential fall treats, like apple cider and a wonderful smattering of pumpkin-related snacks. Then, with full bellies and brains full of night-riding knowledge, we'll head out on a chill, stay-together (<8 mph), 4-mile ride through Northeast Portland. We'll take you to a primo sunset spot and may even pay a quick visit to a rumored Vaux's Swifts roost. Our ride is a loop, starting and ending at Normandale Park. The NE 60th Ave MAX station is only a couple blocks south of the park, and we'll have free TriMet tickets to give away if anyone is inclined to take public transit home while it's dark out. Coming by transit? Take the red or blue MAX lines to NE 60th Ave. Normandale is also easily accessible by the 71 and 77 bus lines. You'll find us at the picnic tables by the playground right off NE 55th Ave.
