My mom just learned how to ride a bike last year (shortly after her 54th birthday). During Pedalpalooza, she will be visiting for the first time since I moved to Portland 5 years ago. She and I will be leading the ride around inner SE/NE (with a loop around the waterfront). Relatively slow paced, mostly flat, plenty of corkers to protect our moms, and ending with optional smoothies and such (location is vegan friendly, 5 bucks should cover it). Moms and those of us who appreciate them are encouraged to attend. Please come out and show my mom why bike culture is so awesome!
