The Alberta Coop & OSALT invite you to a tour of four very different gardens in inner NE Portland. In a fairly short-distance ride, we'll visit: Ariadne Garden, a 15-year-old organic soil foodweb garden on a full city lot; Emerson Street Garden, a site demonstrating a low-tech, sustainable method of lead removal; OUR Garden, a garden managed by the Urban Farm Collective as a vegetable garden; and Fargo Forest Garden, an urban food forest next to the Waypost Cafe. We'll finish up at the Waypost, and can stay there for food and drinks afterwards and be serenaded by Halley the Bicycling Harpist.
