A commute outside your comfort zone! Join SW Portland Active Transportation advocates on a rush hour bike tour of Barbur Blvd, aka Hwy 99W. The tour will highlight bike lane and sidewalk gaps, especially the dreaded Barbur Bridges (construction zone), broad expanses of commercial driveways with left turn conflicts, perilous unsignalized crossings, numerous freeway ramps and the auto centric West Portland crossroads. Tour stops will pay respect at locations of recent crashes, discuss active transportation improvements recently implemented, promised, or denied.
