Meet at 8:30, Ride at 9:00
Ride is a loop
A social ride to the U-pick pumpkin patch and corn maze on Sauvie Island, for some Halloween Fun. The ride is 11 miles each way, and we will be riding at a ~8-10 mph pace. We will probably be slower on the way back because of pumpkin weight. There is some slow elevation gain on the ride, and two bridges (St Johns and Sauvie Island). We are leaving early to avoid the traffic on St Helens Road but, you should be comfortable with medium-traffic riding on a shoulder! We will be going to Bella Organic Farm on Sauvie Island where there is a corn maze and a u-pick pumpkin patch. If the weather is absolutely miserable, we may move to a different day. Bring hauling capacity (panniers, cargo bike, basket) if you want to bring home a pumpkin. Otherwise, bring snacks, cash for the corn maze, water, rain gear, and good corn maze shoes! We will likely eat lunch on Sauvie Island at the farm (feel free to brown bag), and head back around ~1:30PM. Please note the corn maze and u-pick pumpkins are cash-only (ATM on site) - corn maze is $10 per adult, $8 per child, free for under 5's. The corn maze takes about an hour to get through. The Hay rides to the pumpkin patch are free. Kids with an adult are welcome, if they are comfortable riding on Willamette Blvd and NW St Helens Road. Please make sure the route is comfortable for them! The Arbor Lodge Max Station is near the start if you'd like to combine modes. Free free to pick up supplies before the ride at New Seasons (across the street) and Arbor Lodge Coffee.
