Join Bike Milwaukie for a ride to Milwaukie's Winter Solstice event, an annual celebration at Milwaukie Bay Park to view the Christmas Ships(link is external), warm by a bonfire, and purchase some tasty treats. The ride will meet at Ball Michel Park off the Spring Trail for a direct ride to Milwaukie Bay Park arriving around 4pm. There will be temporary bike parking setup for those who arrive by bike. Here are some details about the event: We have you covered! - While everyone is crossing their fingers for good weather, we also know that it rains in Oregon sometimes. We will have a few large tents to keep us all dry as we enjoy the view. Food, hot chocolate, and coffee for purchase for a great cause (Cash or Credit/Debit Cards Accepted) Zenner's hot dogs, chili from Laughing Planet and hot chocolate/coffee from Great American Video & Espresso are available along with pie, cookies and chips. The Lewelling Neighborhood District Association (NDA) will hold its annual fundraiser during the event. All proceeds go to Lewelling's community events, programs and activities, including their concerts each August at Ball-Michel Park. For the second year, the Ardenwald-Johnson Creek NDA will also be joining in with handwarmers and glowing toys for sale to benefit their summer concerts at Ardenwald Park. Beer Store Milwaukie beer garden - After purchasing a tasty treat stop by and say hello to the folks from Beer Store Milwaukie for a local craft adult beverage! Warm by the bonfire or cozy up to one of the small barrel fires - The bonfire will burn bright and warm again this year along with six other smaller, more intimate fires, for you and your family to enjoy! New This Year SaunaGlo Mobile Sauna – Milwaukie’s favorite new spa will be sponsoring a mobile, wood-fired sauna near the bonfire. This one-of-a-kind experience is a great way to warm up on a chilly winter night. Come down and enjoy a fresh addition to this classic event! Be sure to book your sauna session reservation in advance. Event bookings will open Wednesday Dec 18 at 12pm! Remember to bring your water bottle, 2 towels and your sandals.
