Celebrate cycling, community, and car-free fun at Oaks Park’s first-ever Go By Bike Day! Held in honor of National Ride a Bike Day, this free, all-ages event invites Portlanders to hop on their bikes and enjoy a day dedicated to the joy and ease of getting around on two wheels. This isn’t a group ride—it’s a vibrant gathering for the cycling community and anyone curious about biking more often. Ride to Oaks Park and be rewarded with exclusive attraction discounts just for arriving by bike! Once you’re here, enjoy free secure bike parking, free tune-ups from local bike experts, a DIY bike license plate decoration station and a vendor fair featuring local cycling organizations, artists, and businesses! Whether you’re a daily bike commuter, a weekend cruiser, or just getting started, Go By Bike Day is all about creating a welcoming, inclusive space to connect, learn, and celebrate sustainable transportation. Bring your friends, bring your family, and discover how fun, accessible, and cost-effective biking can be. We hope this event inspires you to choose biking not just for the day—but as a lasting way to get to the park, around the city, and beyond.
